At Bower Education, we are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where every child is respected, protected, and able to thrive.
We uphold the National Child Safe Principles and the National Quality Standards and are dedicated to building a culture of safety, transparency, and trust.
The safety and wellbeing of children is our highest priority. We actively listen to children, value their voices, and take their concerns seriously.
Child Safe Policies and Procedures
Child Protection and Reporting
* All educators are trained to recognise signs of harm and abuse.
* We follow mandatory reporting laws and act immediately on concerns.
* Families can request information on our full Child Protection Policy at any time.
Code of Conduct
* Our educators follow a strict code of conduct that promotes respectful, professional, and safe interactions with children and families.
* We do not tolerate behaviour that places a child’s safety or wellbeing at risk.
Complaints and Feedback
* Families and children are encouraged to raise concerns or provide feedback at any time.
* Complaints are taken seriously, managed fairly, and kept confidential.
* Concerns can be raised directly with staff, through our management team, or anonymously if preferred.
Child Participation and Voice
* Children are encouraged to express their views and contribute to decisions that affect them.
* We listen to children and take their perspectives seriously when planning and reviewing our programs and practices.
Safe Recruitment and Staffing
* All staff hold a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) or equivalent clearance and these are interrogated every 6 months to make sure all are still current.
* Reference checks and ongoing supervision ensure the highest standards of child safety.
Training and Professional Development
* All educators complete mandatory child protection training and refresher courses.
* Staff also undertake regular professional development in safe sleep, supervision, and wellbeing practices.
Online and Digital Safety
* Children’s privacy is protected at all times.
* We have strict protocols for the use of technology, photographs, and social media.
* Families provide consent before any child’s image is used.
* All staff sign a Cyber agreement inline with law and all policy around online behaviour.
* All portfolios are in hard copy.
* Any photos on the APP or Instagram do not include children’s faces.
Safe Environments
* Our spaces are designed to consider risks and promote children’s safety.
* Regular risk assessments, supervision planning, and health & safety checks are part of our daily routines.
* No phones in room- personal phones or devices are not allowed in learning spaces.
*Dedicated compliance and safety team who audit and improve practises across all centres.
*State of the art door security system
*Our regular maintenance people must have a Working with Children Check.
*All emergency trades are monitored at all times
