COMING SOON
A new Bower nursery school in the city.
Bray House Nursery School & ELC will bring the Bower approach to early learning to a grand Victorian villa on Hutt Street, in the heart of Adelaide.
Like each of our centres, Bray House will be a warm and homelike place where play, strong relationships and thoughtful environments help children explore, build confidence and grow.
Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, our educators see every child as capable and curious, with their own interests and ideas to follow.
Bray House is part of Bower Education, a family-owned and locally run group of nursery schools and early learning centres across Adelaide.
We will share more about the rooms, programs and team as opening draws closer.
A HOME WITH A STORY
A Hutt Street landmark since the 1850s.
Bray House was built for ironmonger and politician Neville Blyth, and later became the home of Sir John Cox Bray, Premier of South Australia from 1881 to 1884.
Sir John added the grand stuccoed frontage, with its pediments and cast-iron lacework, that still catches the eye today.
The house stayed in the Bray family for almost a century before the City of Adelaide acquired and restored it in the 1970s. It is now a State Heritage Place.
In its newest chapter, Bower Education is bringing Bray House back to life as a place for families, carefully adapting its light-filled rooms and sheltered verandahs into a warm, nurturing early learning centre.
